PREFACE

Not thoughtfully, not by chance, above all, distantly, spontaneously, has appeared in BiH one more magazine, precisely alamanac. It is about almanac called ”DIWAN”-PI Public Library in Gradacac issues it. Team of many scientific workers-professional or volunteer- of different professions including enthusiasts took a part in the foundation of Diwan. This year the peoples of B i H evoked one event of great importance. That is 100 aniversary of birth of Ahmed Muradbegovic (1898-1998). That was the reason why greater part of the first issue of this almanac we dedicated to literary work of this famous penman. Different experts had a part in preparing the ”Diwan”, who have written one theeme from their branchs. So, after the articule presenting the library in Gradacac comes the articule about history of libraries in BiH (Lamiya H.) as a reading matter, which interests first of all library's workers. It is followed by the articule (Emina M.) as a scientific-documentary material, which talks about literary life of Bosnians during the Othoman period. Retrospect and comment on Muradbegovic Ahmed's literary work was written by experts (Bavcic, Kazaz, Delic and Softic) who had been gethering their knowledge and experience reading and learning world classics, avant-garde writers and modernism. They presents Ahmed Muradbeyovic as a still further undiscovered author. Except professional theems Iliyaz D., one young poet from Gradacac, presents his poems in this almanac. His poems from collection ”A map for cutting” shows the whole seriousness contained in scientific articule of ”Diwan”. The last of enclosed articule is ”Farewell” by Sharic S.Whith it the almanac is closed, but a message contained in it,will find more place in the following issues. The ”Diwan” will enlargen the examination of literary creativity of Posavina region's writers; in addition, every year in Gradacac is taking place traditional literary manifestation titled ”Kikic’s meetings”, which elaborates main segment of Hasan Kikic’s creative work, belongs to this region and its literary circle. We hope that Public Library in Gradacac as a treasure of a written word, through this periodic publication, will give more informations and make its contrabution to enriching cultural inheritance of B i H.
